4 of The Best Arm Toning Exercises
Although it certainly is possible for you to work out all areas of your body, making sure that your arms are as good looking as possible is very important if you want to be physically fit, overall. Toning up the arms can be done for a number of different reasons, all the way from wanting to look good whenever you flex your muscles, to reducing some of the fat that may have built up on your arms over the course of time. There are so many different things that you can do which work the arms, but we’ve narrowed it down to 4 different arm toning exercises that we feel are very effective.
Close Grip Bench Press – Instead of doing the regular bench press, keep your arms closer together which will effectively work the tricep muscles. This is an exercise that is often overlooked by many people, but it is extremely effective at helping you to get stronger and better looking arms. Do these for a month, and you will be able to see the differences in the mirror.
Diamond Push-Ups – This works on the same basic principle is that close grip bench press but it is done with your own body weight, making it very convenient to do either at the gym or at home. Instead of doing a basic push-up, in which your arms will tend to be directly underneath your shoulders, put your hands together underneath your chest so that your index fingers and thumbs form a diamond shaped pattern. Lower your body to the ground and then raise it up, making sure that you pay particular attention to your form.
Preacher Curls – This is an excellent way for you to work out your arms effectively and to build your bicep muscles. Any type of curling motion is going to work on the biceps effectively but by doing preacher curls, you’re a mobilizing the upper arm and forcing yourself to use proper form. If you would like to change things up a little bit, you can also do these using dumbbells while immobilizing your upper arm on the inside of your thigh.
Leg Exercises – I know that it sounds rather odd, but if you work out the legs effectively you can actually build the arms effectively as well. Do things such as the squat and dead lift in order to work the legs and to force the body to release chemicals that will promote muscle growth. Not only will it help you to grow additional muscle in your arms, they will also boost your metabolism and make you look leaner as a result.
